It is mainly intended for adults and young adults whose native language is Serbian or, more correctly – Serbo-Croatian (Croatian-Serbian) and will occasionally feature glossaries, instructions, tips and keys in this tongue. However, the majority of its content will be in English and visitors from all corners of the world who wish to practise and improve their English language skills are earnestly welcome. We will use activities and texts from all sorts of sources but promise to credit each and every one of them and/or link to them. If an item is without a credit or a link, it is our own creation, so please credit us or link to us if you use it elsewhere. The site features a variety of language learning material designated to help those who like or need to learn English without pressure. It is our profound belief that only if and when people associate learning with fun, will it render its best results. WORDS & PHRASES Page
As of today, the Words and Phrases page will be a blog page. In order to keep the older posts, I will be reposting them daily, and new ones will be added only when all of the old ones have been transferred. Also, comments will be allowed as, in the future, there may be some games that require interaction. Wish you well and stay safe, Your English Leisurely 3/11/2019 UPDATES 03
The longest possible hiatus is finally over and the site's back in gear. There will be new articles every month, exercises and activities at least once a week and some new features will be added as well. Hopefully all this will spice up your language learning and/or revision. The site will slow down for the summer holidays again but until then, there will be loads of new material which can be reused during the periods of inactivity. I've got some new plans and ideas and will timely announce them here, so pls check regularly for updates. Yours, EL 12/2/2019 UPDATES 02
As of today, the Articles page will have a crossword puzzle attached at the bottom of the the glossary of each article for further practice of the words listed. It starts with the last one (the Guy Fawkes story) and I'll add them to the others as well in the course of the next few days. IMO, they're a great way to revise vocabulary. I hope you'll find them interesting and useful. Yours, EL 29/1/2019 UPDATES 01
I've decided to make this page a bit more dynamic and will post here info. comments, advice, recommendations, etc. if I have any to communicate. Firstly, if you're accessing the site via your phone, please note that the menu to the other pages of the site is in the top left corner of the screen (the three black horizontal bars). Secondly (and to address some concerns I've been told about), the anonymity of your attempts at exercises is 100%. I as an admin. or anyone else for that matter, have no insights into who's visiting the site, what they're doing - reading, doing the exercises, etc. or how successful they are at doing them. Your rates of success are automatically generated in the activities themselves - that's how they are made. Also, to start an activity from the beginning - simply reload the page. And lastly, the comments on the site have been temporarily disabled. If you would like to communicate anything, please use the site's email for the time being - the address is [email protected]. Very soon in the future I will open an FB page and connect the site to it. That will certainly make the communication quicker and easier. Yours, EL |
